Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara Cast Pictures and Songs

Casting: Hrithik Roshan and Abhay Deol agreed to play the lead roles after just one script narration. Zoya Akhtar casted her own brother, actor-director Farhan Akhtar in one of the three lead roles. After auditioning hundreds of NRI girls and girls from USA and London, Zoya casted Katrina Kaif opposite Hrithik Roshan in the movie, as she needed a half Indian and half Caucasian girl to play the role of Laila Kalki Koechin, who has worked with Abhay in Dev D, stars opposite him in the movie. Ariadna Cabrol also features in a role in the movie. This is the first time that Farhan Akhtar is cast opposite a lead actor from one of his previous directorial films. Hrithik Roshan acted as male lead in Farhan Akhtar's Lakshya. The movie will also see Suhel Sheth and Naseeruddin Shah in brief appearances.

Story Line: Kabir (Abhay Deol) has just met Natasha (Kalki Koechlin). Six months later they are engaged. He wants to go on an extended bachelor party to Spain. A three-week road trip with Imraan (Farhan Ahktar) and Arjun (Hrithik Roshan) - his two best friends since school. The only problem is Arjun is tied up with work. After much emotional blackmail and cajoling the boys set off on a journey they were meant to take four years ago. A fantasy holiday they had planned to take after college but never happened. A road trip where each one gets to do the ultimate sport of his choice and the other two just have to do it with him. Kabir, Imraan and Arjun meet up in Barcelona and set off on an adventure, where a chance encounter with Laila (Katrina Kaif) changes the course of their lives.

Filming: The La Tomatina festival of Spain was re-created for the shoot of the song Lk Junoon. It was shot in Bunyol, Valencia, Spain. Almost 16 tons on tomatoes were used for the shoot and they were flown in from Portugal. The introduction scenes of Katrina was shot on a Nude Beach, where they had to specifically request people to stay out of the frame as the film would face objection from censor board in India.

The principal shooting took place at Barcelona, Pamplona, Bunyol, Andalucia in Spain, Egypt and in Mumbai, India. While shooting of the film Zoya Akhtar came to know of a poem, Ode to Katrina Kaif, written in heroic couplet by a fan of Katrina Kaif doing rounds on the internet praising Katrina's beauty. Touched by the poem Zoya Akhtar decided to devote an entire song for Katrina's character and asked her father the legendary lyricist Javed Akhtar to write a song inspired by fan's poem.
